2018 Justice First Fellowship recruitment round opens

2018 Justice First Fellowship recruitment round opens

Training contracts in social justice law are on offer at 14 leading law firms, law centres and advice agencies nationwide. Organisations hosting Justice First Fellows this year include the Speakeasy in Cardiff, drugs charity Release, Child Poverty Action Group, and respected civil liberties firm Bhatt Murphy.

Now into its fifth year, The Legal Education Foundation’s ground-breaking Justice First Fellowship aims to create future leaders of the profession. Alongside their legal training, fellows also complete a project aimed at increasing access to justice, and receive additional training in skills such as communications, fund-raising and business planning.

Successful candidates will take up their posts in January 2019.

The scheme is open to applicants who have completed their Legal Practice Course. Nominations opened today (13 August), and close on 17 September. Interviews will be held at the relevant host organisation during November/December 2018.
