Like every good community Legal Geek has a social purpose. Law for Good, the not-for-profit arm of Legal Geek focuses on improving access to justice by working with legal charities to devise coherent tech strategy and access new technologies.
Lawyers and law firms have very strong probono arms and corporate social responsibility policies (CSR) around donating legal time to charities however we think these charities need technical support, as this can exponentially increase impact. Our program is to allow designers, coders and project managers and entrepreneurs to donate their time.

The ‘Law for Good’ campaign will connect expert technologists wanting to donate their time with charities offering legal advice who need technical support and advice support.
There is a lack of technology and IT resource in legal advice charities which is underpinned by a cultural resistance to change. This inefficiency results in fewer people having access to legal support.
